Asin not suitable for Ranbir Kapoor

Asin who took the silver screen with storm with her superb performance in ‘Ghajini’ opposite Aamir Khan is struggling for existancein Bollywood. News is doing the rounds that she has lost role opposed Ranbir Kapoor in Anurag Basu’s ‘Silence’ for her height. Sources say that she is not tall enough for Ranbir. The movie also celebs Priyanka Chopra.
Asin’s name to the director but Anurag doesn’t find her suitable for Ranbir. He wants someone 5.8 feet and so hunt is still on. Asin’s story of failure doesn’t end here. Earlier John Abraham has also rejected her as he does not find her hot enough for Vipul Shah’s ‘KhaKha KhaKha’. It was also said that the rejection broken Asin’s heart and she moved into tears.

Well, all this happens in the tinsel-ville but Asin should not loose heart. Something better might be waiting her way.

Theaters resume selling tickets, SRK hopes for better sense

The theatres in Mumbai have reopened the bookings for SRK's film ‘My Name Is Khan.’ The theatre owners have sent a list to the Mumbai police of the vulnerable theatres, for which the police have increased security at these theatres and sent clear instructions to theatres and bookings have now opened.

A few guidelines have been announced for the theaters, as the owners have been asked to keep the first three rows from the screen empty. Deployed two videographers will have to shoot all happenings inside and outside the complex.

This step has come after the owners said that the police have not provided them adequate security.

Meanwhile, in his reaction to the fresh attacks, Shah Rukh Khan said, “I hope everything works out well and better sense prevails.”

The MNIK team has gone to Abu Dhabi for the worldwide premier. While at home the Shiv Sena is on fire against Shah Rukh and his film, SRK will be traveling to Berlin after the premier in Abu Dhabi.

Arjun (Ajay Devgn) and Mannu (Salman Khan) are childhood friends. But they had little in common except their family's vague connection with music. While Arjun's life was consumed by a passionate drive to get on stage and realise his grandfather's unfulfilled dream, Mannu had little interest in his music tutor father's instruments and was content with remaining a child at heart with no higher ambition than enjoying the good things in life.



  Arjun diligently pursues his dream, at the risk of running away from an uncle and roaming the streets of London before taking shelter in a music shop. There he practices and prepares himself until he's ready to make his foray into the world of music and showmanship.

As Arjun forges a band with Zoheb (Rannvijay), Wasim (Aditya Roy) and Priya (Asin), a music enthusiast from a conservative South Indian family, far away in Punjab, music becomes a survival tool for Mannu, who takes to playing in wedding bands in his village. But when he gets Mannu to London and makes him a part of the band, Arjun soon realises he's created the biggest threat to his own ambitions. For, Mannu, with his inherent musical gift and irreverent style of performing, becomes an instant darling of the crowds. What has taken Arjun years to achieve, Mannu does overnight. Arjun's unbearable pangs of jealousy and insecurity only worsen when Mannu also unwittingly woos and wins his secret love, Priya. Arjun plots against Mannu, but what happens?

Pazhassi raja

Super star mammooty’s most awaited film Pazhassi raja is expected to hit the theatres by october 2nd.This film is a biopic magnum opus historical film directed by one of the best director in the Indian film industry, T.Hariharan and scripted by the veteran writer M.T. Vasudevan Nair.

Pazhassi Raja is the second work by the trio – Hariharan, Nair and Mammooty. Other than Malayalam, this film is being dubbed in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi also. Padma priya, Linda Arsenio and Kaniha are the heroines of this film. Tamil actor Sarath Kumar plays the role of Edachena Kunkan, the chief lieutenant of Pazhassi Raja and the villain role, Pazhaiveetan Chandu done by Tamil-Telugu actor Suman. Jagathi Sreekumar, Manoj k Jayan, Thilakan and Suresh Krishna is the other casts of this film.

This film is about the legendary ruler and warrior of the eighteenth century, Kerala Varma Pazhassi Raja starred by Mammooty. Pazhassi Raja is from the Padinjare Kovilakam of the Kottayam Family. The revenue policy of the east India Company Malabar annoyed Pazhassi Raja and he threatened to destroy all the pepper vines if the British persisted in collecting the revenue. He was one of the brave freedom fighters to raise his voice against the British rule and finally took on the British in the forests of Malabar.

This big budget movie is produced by Gokulam Gopalan under the banner Gokulam films. Score and soundtrack is by the maestro Ilayaraja and was recorded in Hungary, with the Hungary symphony orchestra. Oscar award winner Rasool Pookkutty is the sound designer and O.N.V Kurup is the lyricist of this film

Pazhassi Raja Review


The highly awaited ‘Pazhassi Raja’ has finally been released in 130 theaters in Kerala including 4 theaters in Trivandram with awesome response from the viewers. ‘Pazhassi Raja’ also has the credit of being the first world class Malayalam movie coming in four Indian languages, with a high budget of Rs. 27 crores. It comes with about 560 prints, meeting the mass audiences. Out of the 560 prints, 125 speak Malayalam, the original, 100 in Tamil, 100 are in Telugu, 110 speaks Hindi and 125 more in Hindi with English subtitles. The film is expected to be released in Tamil on October 30, and other versions are to be released later.

The film has a great hype and expectations among the audience, that the fans celebrated a 5 days welcome festival for the movie. People, who have seen the movie are seems to be satisfied with the movie, after a long waiting. They say that this is the best historical movie ever. Mammootty’s performance in the movie is sure to bring him another National award to his carrier. Mammootty and Sarathkumar are given an equally important character. This is another feather to Padmapriya’s crown for her performance. The filmmakers are very happy with the blasting response from the fans.

Padmapriya plays a pivoted role in the movie ‘Neeli’, as a head of a tribal, who expects a brake through this. The movie is about a historic king of Kottayam, ‘Kerala Varma Pazhassi Raja’, who started a revolution against British East India Company in 1797, which is claimed to be the first freedom movement in India, about sixty years before the Sepoy Mutiny in 1857, which is said to be the first one. Thus the movie is based upon an untold true story of the great king Pazhassi Raja, known as the Lion of Kerala, who lost his throne, palace, family, and his unborn child in the fight for the freedom. The King brought the people of Kurichiyar tribe together and led a guerilla war against British invasion.

The film has created a lot of expectations that it could win many awards and especially the fans expect that it would go for the Oscar awards. The release date of the film was postponed a number of times due to various reasons. The movie was first planned to release on October 2nd, Gandhi Jayanthi, but was then postponed. Anyway there was no drop or effect in the hype and expectation from the audience even after the delay. Now the film has got an excellent response upon its release. The film is also highly expected in the other languages.

Aishwarya rai , abhishek bachan get crazy in an ad

Finally the sizzling married couple is coming together in an ad. The famous soap brand Lux has been able to rope in Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan to endorse their product with a whopping price of 25 crore.

The ad will show sizzling Ash playing a naughty trick with Abhishek and mesmerizing him. “We could have put them both in a bathtub and said, lets go for the eyeballs, but we really wanted to show them in a way that they had never been seen before,” says Tista Sen, executive creative director and senior vice-president at JWT India, the agency handling the account for the soap from Hindustan Unilever Ltd.

The commercial is directed by Stephen Mead and Shankar Ehsaan Loy has scored the background music. Aki Narula has designed Ash and Abhi’s costume.

The ad will go on air this month end.
