The story and dialogues are penned by Gautam. Surya played as an Assistant commissioner of police in Chennai city. He teamed up with three other men to destroy a gang of people. Surya’s reaction and body language everything looks like an assistant commisoner. For that he worked hard to do the character well. In a interview to an private channel surya said he takes Mr.Vijayakumar as a role model for this character. At that time Mr.Vijayakumar was the Assistant commissioner of Chennai. Surya even got appreciation from Mr.Vijayakumar. Jothika looks so beautifully in this movie. The scenes between Surya and Jothika are really romantic. The chemistry between this real life pair really shown in the movie also. Jeevan only a youngster done as a villain role in this movie. He done a superb job. Rajasekar handles the camera of the movie. Most of the scenes are taken in wider angle. That’s giving more and more life to the movie. Harris Jeyaraj scored excellent background score for this movie. The songs are also superb. The lyrics are penned by Thamarai. This movie was a tremendous hit. Surya and the movie got so many awards.
